Our vacation cabin is secluded, yet not far from the small town of Kirkjubæjarklaustur. A small and cozy cabin, with one bedroom with a double bed and a sleeping loft. The cabin is small and the sleeping loft is not with a full height so adults might find it cramped, so it might be better suited for a family of 4. This is the perfect base for visiting the South Coast of Iceland, with short driving distance to some of the regions major attractions, such as Fjarðárgljúfur, Skaftafell National Park and the Jökulsárlón Glacier Lagoon.

The cabin
Location and access
The cabin is located 2 km from the village of Kirkjubæjarklaustur and 260 km from Reykjavik. It's close to the main road and is easily accessible all year, although we do recommend a 4x4 during the winter as Icelandic weather conditions can be unpredictable. The road from Reykjavik to our cabin is a easy drive and has the speed limit of 90 km per hour.
